The Dew Tour’s been fun. We had a good day yesterday… Park practice, go carts, dirt finals, a decent party… What more do you need? Park prelim’s start soon, so we are going to head down to the stadium right now. Check out a few photos from yesterday after the jump.

After a Give D trip from San Diego to Vancouver, Gary ended up staying in Van for a few day to ride and hang out. We actually didn’t ride at all due to weather and stuff, but we definitely hung out! We headed down to Portland last night for the Dew Tour and we’ll be here till Monday. There is practice today and I think qualifying tomorrow. This is my first Dew Tour, so it should be cool to finally check it out. Andrew McMullen came down for the ride and we are going to try to ride a bunch of stuff while we are in Portland.

Ali just sent over some photos from the X-Games.

“Hello everyone, well I’ve had a crazy two weeks, I flew to England for the Empire of Dirt which was out of hand my man, then I flew right to the West Coast for the Superpark at the X-Games which was nuts! Right after finals I was walking off the course and I met David Beckham. He had a front row watching finals… Which was a treat. I had a few words with him and his boys… he’s a nice chap…Have fun!”

We just hooked up UK rider Lewis Knowles and he’ll be riding for MacNeil through Seventies. We are super psyched to have Lewis repping MacNeil and his new bike is looking HOT! He just put together a black Whitton II with black and white parts. Lewis sent over a few more photos, so check them out after the jump and keep an eye out for some riding photos of him soon.

I was checking out the 3Ride blog when I came across this photo and had to post it. This picture sums up Chris Smith to a T! Chris’ been riding a MacNeil for ever and he just built up a new Deuce Deuce prototype the other day.  Chris and I have been meaning to hook up and film a little web edit this summer, so unless Chris eats too much fried chicken and can’t ride, keep an eye out for some clips!

This is Matt Hemmingson, a 9 year old BMXer from Vancouver, who just about a year ago was diagnostic with a brain tumor. Jay, Wade, Dave Osato and I went and hung out with Matt and his family a few weeks back and we had a great time. The whole family is amazing and while we were there, they showed us a bunch of photos and videos of Matt riding. I couldn’t belive some of the stuff he was doing, especially for how old he is. We all hope Matt the very best and send our love to the family.

Wolfman has been shreding hard in S.F. filming for the fill lenghth Lotek DVD that should be out in a few months. There are a few snaps of him on the Lotek blog that Nick Hammer shot that you should check out here and Wolf should be up in Vancouver soon, so get ready for some amazing quotes and non stop laughter!

The trip is over and we are all home! Everyone had a blast and we all can’t wait to get back to Toronto. The Kink team was super rad to hang out with and big thanks goes out to Chris Silva for taking us around for a week! We logged a lot of clips, so look out for a nice little edit next week.  After the last update we pretty much just stuck with the same routine of chilling during the day and riding at night. We had a pretty rad BBQ on Friday night and chilled at the Ten Pack am in Mississauga on Saturday and rode the park for a bit. We were going to spend Sunday riding around downtown because we had spent most of the week hitting up schools and stuff… but just our luck, it rained all day, so we just walked around downtown and packed up.

The past few days have been great. It’s been super hot, so we’ve been chilling during the day and riding in the evening. It’s made our sessions pretty quick, but we’ve probably got more clips in those few hours each night, then we would if we were just messing around all day. Chris Silva has been an amazing tour guide, the Kink guys are a blast to hang out with and we’ve been able to ride some rad stuff… It might not seem like it from the photos, but it’s hard to shoot riding shots and film at the same time.

We are heading to the Ten Pack Am contest in Mississauga. Check out the Metro blog for all the info and if you are in the Toronto area, you should definitely come out!

Here is the second round of photos. We went back to the Brampton park for a bit to finish the contest because of the rain the day before. Then we headed out and rode a wood park that was pretty close. We pretty much just chilled around the neighborhood for a bit, hit the beach and ate some really bad Mexican food. On Monday, we started the day out at the Vanderhoof park and rode street around that area till the sun went down. I was a super productive day and we got some good clips.

So, if you didn’t catch it in the post with that video from the Trails, Kym Grosser just moved to Vancouver from Australia and is going to be living here for the next two years. We are super psyched to have Kym around and to kick off his time in Vancouver, he built up a fresh new bike. Kym, Jaumell and I are off to Toronto tomorrow for ten days. We’ll be hitting two of the Ten Pack amatuer contests and filming around Toronto durring the week. The trip should be dope and we’ll have a nice web video to post when we get back.

Here’s a little edit I put together from a session at the trails last week with Kym, Wade, me and Kym’s friend Mic. Kym and his friend Mic just moved to Vancouver and they’ll be here for a few years. What better way to kick off their stay in Vancouver than a nice day at the trails!

Andy Chung interned at MacNeil during spring quarter of school last year. We got to work on a lot of cool projects and it was a blast to have him in the office. Andy’s not officially an “intern” right now, but we’ve been working on some stuff together and riding a bunch. I’ve been meaning to do an interview with him on the site for a while, but since I slacked so much David Lang took care of business and did the whole interview as well as provided all the photos. While we are on the topic of Ali videos, here’s another video of Ali shredding the new ramps in Lot 8 at Woodward East and a few shots of his new bike!

Ali just sent me an email with the subject “flip” and this video attached… I guess he said it’s easy, “Just roll on the throttle and look back.” Yeah, looks real easy… haha. Congrats to Ali for getting the flip and check back real soon for a video from our France trip last month!
