X-Factor

This guy is a god among mere mortals. Hilarious.

Get your BMX or MTB looking super fly with these reflective/patterned tires from SweetSkinz. They have a pretty large selection of patterns and colors. I think they even make custom automobile tires. Pretty crazy looking. I mean who doesn’t want a rattlesnake skin tire. That’s just straight tuff.

A tip to keep your gear fresh. I have a bunch of different jackets, shirts, sweaters, and blankets that get those little fuzzballs (actually called pills) all over them. I feel like a scrub when I go out with little white lint sprinkles all over my favorite hoodie. Thats where this little handy gizmo comes in. Its an electric shaver for your garments. Pop in a couple AA batteries, flip a switch and get to business. It only takes a couple minutes and you’ll be looking fresh as new. You can pick up a fabric shaver here for under $10.
You can probably use a normal electric shaver to freshen your gear, but if it jams up or wears your shaver out don’t blame me.

I made a trip up to Raleigh this weekend to visit some good friends, checkout my buddy BT’s place, and have a bit of fun. Hit the jump to check out some photos from the weekend.
My weekend started out with a Solo 3.5 hour car ride from MSHQ to Raleigh. I don’t mind driving for long periods of time when I’m by myself because it gives me a chance to catch up on my podcast listening. I arrived at BT’s place and met up with Baby and SuperJeff. We reminisced for about an hour, than Super and myself made a trip up to the store to gather up some bum wine for our tasting.
BT is one of the most unique people you will ever meet. He will always make you laugh and I think he has almost every shirt I’ve made. We met years ago when he was in my brothers band Harpers Ferry(r.i.p.) and have been good friends ever since.
SuperJeff, BT and Baby Fit chillin playin some Rummy, and Indian Poker.
“There’s a Baby on the fridge.” Baby Fit working on his Wii golf score.
SuperJeff and I about to sabotage sleeping BT with an oven fresh burrito grenade.
BT getting retribution for the burrito bed bomb. Check out his sweet Ghostbusters tat. There’s a cartoon Bill Murray to go with it on his inner arm.
If you have not yet checked it out, there is a Downloads page under the Media section of the site. This spot will have all sorts of different Mindset related e-paarifinallia to get a hold of. Currently there are a couple different Wallpapers and the Mindset logo stencil pattern. So if your so inclined…

The newest installment of the Shook series, “Like Totally” is out now. Featured inside is the Mindset ATL/Tenn-a-Key road trip. There is a ton of amazing riding on the video, and the soundtrack just may be one of the best I’ve heard in a while.

Da Mangler dun did it again. Mindest Crew members Zach Rodgers, Seamus Mckeon, Phil Jones and Michael “da Mangler” McQueen went on a trip to South Carolina a couple weeks ago. This edit is the result. By the looks of it, Seamus is vying for the coveted Road Fools announcer spot.

I had a little sit down with soon to be father of the year candidate, Beavis “White Daddy” Starry, and we chatted about his ever growing and seemingly random tattoo collection. Hit the jump to check out his pieces and see what he had to say.
Lets start at the beginning. What’s the story about your first tattoo?
Well, I thought I should prolly get a tattoo so, I came home from work, and decided Nana should come with me. At this time you still couldnt get tattoos in SC so, we drove to Charlotte, and I got my last name on my chest.
How old were you?
I had either just turned 18, or it might have been a few months before. That could explain why Nana went. I don’t really remember.

Why is your name tatted across your chest?
I could ask you the same question. It just wouldnt make sense.
Touché. How many thats have you gotten since?
4 and a half.
Which one is half finished?
I guess they’re all kinda half finnished, and one maybe two are gonna get covered up.

Do you have plans for more?
Yessir. I might go get one tomorrow, but I dunno. I’ll prolly sleep too late, then be pissed and start drinkin’.
How much time do you spend thinking about a tattoo before getting it done?
It depends. Some times I’d know for months what I want, and some times I just went and got some dumb shit.
Who does your ink?
I wanna get Brent Kye to do this half sleeve ive been thinkin of. Really anyone but AP in “da Mo” and that one shop on main street in K-town, they’re shady and it smells like dead rabbits in there.
Which one hurt the worst, and which one took the longest?
None of em really hurt. I kinda like the way they feel but, Buddy prolly took the longest, there’s a lot of detail to him.

Which is your favorite? Which is your least favorite? and why?
My favorite is Jap’s pocket watch insides. It’s prolly the best shit I’ve ever seen. My least favorite is my eagle (soon to be covered up). Dave Mirra’s tramp stamp is pretty bad too.

Wanna reveal any future plans?
My half sleeve is gonna be some shit for my Ma and Nana because, they’re obviously pretty rowdy. Then its gonna have some of those monsters Curcio draws on it. I also wanna get a huge piece on my ribs.
Have you ever thought of getting some hair tatted on that birdchest?
Na, you’ve got enough for the both of us. Plus it grows DX on em’.

I think that about raps it up. Any shout outs / plugs?
Yea, fuck the Joo. Lemme send a shout out to my dude Cletus, Luca Brazi, Buddy, Dirtdick, Chucko, Japanimation, check my baby mama, Rico, Rico’s brother, Nik P, the rest of the One Clik holdin’ it down still, lil’ Jimmy, Antwain, and Jesus. i’d plus MS, but thats what this is for right? Peep kissyourwhitedaddy.com. RIP DALE!

While holdin’ it down for the GLC, my homie Christian Hewett shoots lots of polaroids. His skills are dope enough to be featured in an autophoto over at Defgrip.net. He shoots all polaroids, which i find interesting. Also, he has a photo blog, rackfilm, where you can see some more pretty unique stuff.
