I can’t pinpoint the exact date, month or even year that I met Babyfood but I can tell you that riding with him is always a good time and it’s something I always look forward to. He’s usually one of the youngest ones in the crew but he has a hardwired ability to retort to shit talk just as quickly as it gets dished out to him. He is mostly in good spirits and loves to learn new tricks and call me immediately after landing them. Steven will be the first to admit that he’s been off the scene for a couple years (if you’ve been following him you’ll have seen what he’s been getting into) but after our trip to Woodward this winter (and landing the ender clip), Steven resolved to film a comeback video of sorts and this is what we came up with. If you ever get the chance to ride with him, you’ll see what Robbie saw when he added him to the Cult family- a light-hearted, highly motivated and eager rider with the passion to make it places. Ladies and gentlemen, Babyfood’s back!
The Cult team headed out to woodward for the annual “Cult Week” to ride with the campers and just like last year, they completely shut it down. Another 6 minuet masterpiece from the lens of Veesh with a heavy crew of Dak, AK, Russ, Chase D, Bas Keep, Andrew Cast, Grant Germain, Trey Jones, and Timmy Theus all killing it. This is without a doubt the best video to come out of woodward thus far this summer so don’t miss it!
Five years after the original, Seventies Distro announced today that Brighton Ain’t Ready is coming back! As if the original lineup wasn’t stacked enough, this time around they’re inviting 8 full teams (Subrosa, Kink, Shadow, Cult, Stranger, Federal, Primo and Mutiny!) to an all new flat, so you know this is going to be insane!
If its been awhile since you’ve seen the original video, you can check out all the sections here.
This amazing Cult promo, put together by Navaz, was released at Interbike back in 2010 and it’s still banging to this date. This was the first footage dropped by the crew since Let Em Talk and it includes riding from Chase Dehart, Alex Kennedy, Chase Hawk, Bobby Simmons, Russ Barone, Trey Jones, Dakota Roche and many more.
Here’s your first look at Russ Barone’s signature colorway for Cult’s B Boy frame. After watching this quick promo, head over to cultcrew.com to see some more photos of Russ and this new frame. These are available now, so if you’re feelin’ it, get in touch with your local shop or mailorder. Here’s what Robbie Morales had to say:
“Growing up racing and riding trails it has been awesome watching RUSS turn into the man he is now…His heart is huge and his family is the best…I even lived with them for some time on Long Island…He has been a major part of every project I have done and I’m very proud for RUSS to have his own color way frame with CULT, he definitely has earned it…RUSS will be traveling a bunch this summer so don’t hesitate to say hi, you will see what a awesome individual this dude is…”
