Cult and Vans have some new shoes dropping together, check out this dope little video promoting them featuring some riding from Dakota, Bobby Simmons, Timmy Theus and Trey Jones. Everybody kills it but you’ve got to see this tailwhip that Timmy does at the end…
“Continuing our collaboration with VANS, we were psyched to get some of the CREW together and film a quick edit in support of the shoe release…We hit some spots in Cali and had a blast doing so…Check out the ERA PRO and CHUKKA MID CULT COLORWAYS…This time around the technology has been stepped up with the DURACAP process, basically these last super long and can handle it…MORE SOON…”
Cult and Vans have a shoe coming out so they had a jam last week and paid for people to get into the Vans skatepark. A lot of people came through and killed it but some highlights include Dakota Roche, Max Vu and Timmy Theus. Shout out to John Hicks for putting this together!
Leo Sanchez put together little over a minuet of Joe Molina footage for our viewing pleasure, but regardless the length any of his riding is worth the watch. If you wanna check some more his part in the YAWN dvd is only a click away (@ 7:14).
I’ve known Max for a few years now and despite being just 10 years old, he’s been killing it for as long as I’ve known him. His father Phu owns and operates Epic BMX out here in So Cal, one of the top BMX shops in the area and he’s mostly kept Max out of the spotlight (aside from tailwhipping a hip in Alex Hiam’s day edit) up until now. Veesh caught up with Max for a couple sessions and captured a small piece of what Max is capable of including some rail moves on street that I’m sure nobody his age has ever attempted before. Thanks so much to Cult, Epic and Veesh for making this video happen.
Hell yeah, Javi Castilla is back with another dope edit for Cult and this one might be his best yet. There’s so many good clips in here, but Javi’s riding really shines in those buttery long lines. You can also check out his previous four edits, including that bangin’ split edit with Mono, after the jump.
The Cult team spent a week at Woodward East to ride and have fun with the campers. The result of their time spent there is this really awesome 6 minute edit. Tons of really amazing riding from Trey Jones, Alex Kennedy, Chase Hawk, Chase Dehart, Russ Barone and Bobby Simmons. There’s also a dope photo gallery that you can check here.
I can’t pinpoint the exact date, month or even year that I met Babyfood but I can tell you that riding with him is always a good time and it’s something I always look forward to. He’s usually one of the youngest ones in the crew but he has a hardwired ability to retort to shit talk just as quickly as it gets dished out to him. He is mostly in good spirits and loves to learn new tricks and call me immediately after landing them. Steven will be the first to admit that he’s been off the scene for a couple years (if you’ve been following him you’ll have seen what he’s been getting into) but after our trip to Woodward this winter (and landing the ender clip), Steven resolved to film a comeback video of sorts and this is what we came up with. If you ever get the chance to ride with him, you’ll see what Robbie saw when he added him to the Cult family- a light-hearted, highly motivated and eager rider with the passion to make it places. Ladies and gentlemen, Babyfood’s back!
