New Hawk footage is always good footage. Watch him unleash a fury of steeze in this hefty new video from Cult.
For over a decade now, the name Chase Hawk has been synonymous with “style” and “flow”. It’s mentioned in sentences containing a superlative and usually one or more expletives. You can’t have a conversation about lofty, off-axis 360′s without including this archetypal figure. Well, today, after watching this video for Cult, you’ll never be able to gaze into the slimy eyes of a slug, construct a traditional shish kebab or shuck an ear of corn around a campfire without thinking of the way Chase navigates cement parks in Washington State as if guided by the ghost of pioneering explorer David Thompson himself. What was once a vast and fertile Pacific Northwest is now a barren wasteland, devoid of trees and vegetation, scorched and in flames from the blazing tires of Chase and Joe Rich, a modern-day Lewis and Clark, raping and pillaging transitions in lines that remained uncharted until this very moment. Fuck what you’ve heard, THIS is Manifest Destiny.
…On second thought, almost eleven minutes long? That’s like three years in internet time. Read a book instead.
Andrew Castenada’s part from the Cult ”Small Talk” DVD was definitely my favourite one and it’s now online for our viewing pleasure! Andrew got the bumped to pro after releasing this section and it was truly well deserved. I mean those last 2 clips are straight up insane!
Floyd and Codey Levesque’s section from the Cult “Small Talk” DVD is now online for your viewing pleasure. Floyd came through with some great pegless/creative clips for his part and Cody mixed his traditional skateboarding steeze to dope bike moves.
What are the five best materials to make hubguards out of? Think about it…nylon, nylon, nylon, nylon and nylon. Cult knows this and designed their new hub guards to help you spit the hottest fire. If you’ve got any of the Cult Match hubs, you’ll need to be copping these when the drop next month.
Josh Alderete backward skills are definitely up there with Ian Schwartz and Bruce Crisman (and it’s not an exaggeration). His section from the Cult DVD “Small Talk” is now online and it’s a treat! Josh’s uses his freecoaster to the max and make it look so good! That last clips is amazing!
If Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, DJ Yella and MC Ren were gonna rep for any BMX company, they’d probably do it wearing one of these dope new Starter snapbacks from Cult. These joints will definitely get snatched up quick, so if you’re feelin one of em, you’d better make your way over to the Cult webstore nowish.
Dakota Roche puts it down for the latest iteration of his signature frame from Cult, the Cultifornia. The song and the vibe might be chill, but you already know the riding definitely isn’t! You can also catch an extended look at Dak building up his new frame in a quick video after the jump.
