Animal Preheating at The Bakery

A few weeks ago Jared Washington, Mike Brennan & Butcher made the trek from New Jersey to Chicago to put in some time at The Bakery. After the jump, check out an excerpt from Butcher’s interview where he talks a little about his experience at The Bakery. Definitely looking forward to this one!
You went out to The Bakery last weekend?
Yeah, with Mike Brennan and Jared Washington. Edwin was supposed to go, but he didn’t make it; punk. (Laughter) It was a good time. Pretty much drove for a day, rode for like two or three days, then drove home. It was a good time. Chilled with Kachinsky. He’s a good dude; took us out to good spots to eat.
What did you think of The Bakery?
It’s a Lego-land for bikes. There are pallet jacks; you can move ledges around, you can pretty much make whatever you like. And if you can’t set up whatever’s there you can build it. It’s awesome; I wish I could have a lot more time there. There’s so much more I want to do there. I could never be finished there; I don’t think anyone would be. It’s endless.
When is that edit coming out?
I have no idea. To be honest, I didn’t even know we were going out there to film a Bakery edit. Brennan called me up and said we were going out there to chill in Chicago, ride some street and The Bakery. I was down for whatever. We get there, and Kachinsky was like, “We kind of film stuff a certain way, if you want to do something, we’ll set up some lights and cameras.” I was like, “Ok, so we’re doing an official edit here?” (Laughter) It was chill, but I wasn’t expecting that. It was really cool. The building itself is unbelievable. It’s a really weird place. There are so many things going on in there, like a flatland area, a R/C car track, a skateboard park, some kind of chop-shop in one area. I liked it. I can’t wait to go back to the Bakery.
2012 Texas Toast Jam Dates Announced

With the success of the inaugural Texas Toast Jam in 2011, Taj & Odyssey have teamed up again to bring you the jam in October instead of May this year. Personally I’m stoked it will be happening in the later months because the heat was absolutely brutal last year. Mark your calendars, get stoked & start making road trip plans!
The Prospects: Park it Up Edit

“The Prospects” is a DVD project that is in the works right now, and to spread the word, they have released this park mix that features some of the UK’s finest.
Tom Stretton Lux Edit

Tom Stretton just got added to the Lux team, and he is starting it off right with this welcome edit. I’m not sure if a hang 5 to no footed can-can has been done before or not, but Tom makes it look pretty crazy regardless.
TAL Team Mix

The TAL crew took a few weekend trips to Columbia SC, Birmingham AL, and Atlanta GA over the past few months, and they ended up with enough footage to make a really nice team mix.
Chase Dehart Dan’s Comp Edit

Chase Dehart takes it back to his roots and hits up street spots in New Jersey for his latest Dan’s Comp edit.
Private Property: Unit 6 / The Barn / Ghetto Shed / Our House

“In the latest issue of the magazine (163), we featured an article called ‘Private Property’, an insight to a few private skateparks in the South. The spots included were ‘Unit 6′ down in Bournemouth, The famous ‘Barn’ in Newton Abbot, Webbies infamous ‘Ghetto Shed’ and the most talked about, Seventies ‘Our House’.“- Ride UK
Disgusting Crash Video

If you are at all squeamish, pass this one by. I’m not sure of the exact injury, but the email said he won’t be riding for the next year and a half… which seems a little extreme for anything other than maybe a spinal injury, but I’m no doctor…
