Man, Alex is seriously amazing. The first clip is so funny, the banger is amazing and the end quote is probably going to be quoted over and over for a long time to come.
If you live in the Northeast, make your way up to Ithaca tomorrow for the “Keep Fighting The Good Fight” Mike Tag benefit jam at East Shore skatepark. Mike Aitken’s bike from Anthem II will be raffled off and lots of good times will surely be had. A few of us from Sparky’s are on our way now, so if you spot us in the crowd, say hello!

Ben sent in this little update:
“Yo everyone, Not a lot going on up here in the NW, a lot of rain that’s about it; I’ve just been spending a lot of time hanging out with Levi. Halloween was fun, dressed up like a werewolf and went to a party with Chet Black and a bunch of the homies. My shoes from Almond the “Belmont” arrived finally and they feel amazing, so so so psyched on these shoes. Other than that I’ve just been waiting for the rain to stop here and there to go film with the guys. Finally got a new lens for my camera and I’m way psyched on my set up now. I went though my computer and found some Souney photos from the last year I’d share. Some were used in Dig and some were just online.”

“Yo guys, here are some photos from Kona, and a video of JPR ripping the snake run (“It’s been 2 days and my body is still stuck in a tuck position” -JPR). For the most part it’s been a good summer/fall, been doing lots of short trips trying to ride a lot. I recently made the much needed move from 1/8″ drive train to 3/32″ one, which make the bike run so much smoother. The new Shadow chain with a custom Budsaw and a Sputnic driver thanks to the guys at Zodiaceng. Everyone by now knows about our good buddies Rickey and Gary; I just personally want to say thanks to the BMX world your positive thoughts and prayers. It means the world to his close friends and family. Banned in peace. Oh also Case issue 7 is out and is available to ship now. Rickey and Gary have a photo and a small write up in this issue, written by Billy R from Banned/Sparky’s. You can pick a copy up on my blog, here is a direct link: www.wastedyouth97.com. Well I’m out, ’til next time kids: pick up a shovel & go build something sweet.”

“Tom Molyneux might hail from the unenviable state of New Jersey, but before he arrived in Casselberry last night, he sent us an edit from an afternoon at one of the East Coast’s concrete jems, Sayreville skatepark. Click the tabe above to check it out.“- Sputnic
Word came late Friday afternoon from Mr.Rick Bates that Rickey’s bike & belongings made it home from Arizona. This is great news for the Banned crew, who just wrapped up a special “lost Banned 4 footage” edit that debuted at an FBM video premier in Florida this past weekend. Be on the lookout for that in the next few days…
Miss you Rickey!
So many frames on the market today have the same look, with a double diamond rear end and single gusset up front. Why not ride something different? Ben Hucke’s Space Cobra certainly stands out, featuring stamped gussets on both the top & down tubes, an externally-butted seat tube junction, and tapered rear stays. Made from 4130 Sanko chromoly with a double-butted top tube & retailing at under $300, don’t you think it’s time for a change?

“After 5 years, I will no longer be riding for Sputnic Bikes. I’ve decided to part ways due to some new opportunities. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone over at Sputnic for all they’ve done and all the good times. I wish you guys the best. And I’m sure we’ll be partying soon “
After 5 long years as part of the Sputnic team, Tony Neyer has decided to move on to greener pastures. All of us at Sputnic & Sparky’s thank Tony for everything he’s done as part of the Sputnic team, and wish him nothing but the best in all of his future endeavors.
