The 7 Line

My old friend Darren Meenan (of Manmade fame) is doing a cool sports-based line called The 7 Line. I’m not really into sports, but I can tell this stuff is pretty cool in a tongue-in-cheek sports banter kind of way. It feels honest, but maybe that because I know Darren has been a Mets fan forever.
Hit up the store, or The Bullpen Shop right across from Citi Field if you are in New York.

Also, be sure to bookmark Chester’s photoblog, Mos Bueno.

Ice Cube Celebrates The Eames
Here’s a cool piece featuring Ice Cube. If I didn’t know that Ice Cube studied architectural drafting, this would seem like funny money.
Notable quote: “This is going green 1949 style bitch!”

Shadow’s “Keep It Local” Video/Print Ads
Shadow’s edits are always on point–this time Simone Barraco, Seth Kimbrough, Lahsaan Kobza, Ben Hucke, and Trey Jones hop in the van and hit up a few shops in the northeast. You know this is good.
They also have two print ads featuring Simone Barraco and Seth Kimbrough that you can catch in Ride UK, or after the jump.

Print Ad: Subrosa

Here’s the latest print ad from Subrosa. It feature newest Subrosa pro rider Simone Barraco and was shot by the handsome Tristan Afre. The ad also features our 2012 Letum Street and 2012 Tiro complete bikes. Unfortunately there was no way to crop Chadwick out of the photo.

Spliff-Triggered Photography

NYC-based photographer and director Timothy Saccenti of Stem has a really interesting article up on PDN explaining how he got the above shot of trip hop artist Tricky. Saccenti’s shots always look really crazy, and usually I assume it’s some post-production madness, but as it turns out the above shot was only colour graded. Really clever use of technology to get a brilliant result. Check out the PDN article here, and to see the rest of the Tricky series, check out Saccenti’s website here.
