Nigel Collab Case
By now I’m sure a lot of you have seen images of Nigel’s collab case that he put together with Animal, Gatorade, New Era, G-Shock, and Skullcandy. The project was built around the release of Nigel’s new seat with Animal. We were lucky enough to get one and just wanted to post some photos to share with everyone as well as give a huge congrats and thanks to Nigel!
The case comes with Nigel’s new seat, a New Era/Animal/Nigel hat, A G-Shock, a pair of Skullcandy ear buds, and the most impressive element of the project… a signature Gatorade bottle… The bottle was produced in a limited run of 500, so if you are lucky enough to get your hands on one I suggest you keep it on ice… and I don’t mean in the freezer…

Big Dave
FBM have a lot of history in BMX, and you can bet that Big Dave has been a big part of it. However, all good things come to an end and Dave is moving on from FBM.
ESPN have a good interview with Dave about it all. It’s a good read.

Best of Behind The Scenes

Great collection of behind the scenes movie photo via Selectism. So crazy how the process of making moves has changed over the years. Looking at the shot of the crew actually filming the printed credits for Empire Strikes Back really puts things into perspective. Check out the photos here.

Summer in Brooklyn: 1974

Looking back on a different time is always interesting.
I just came across THIS collection of photographs taken in Brooklyn during the summer of 1974, which have all the elements of old New York. Times change, and you can bet that Brooklyn now is way different than Brooklyn in 74.
– Photographer Danny Lyon spent two months snapping pictures of the daily life in the borough — exploring Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Fort Green and Park Slope among other neighborhoods.

Lost Type Co-op

In addition to being a nice looking site, the Lost Type Co-Op could be a useful place for you designers out there (or anyone randomly in need of a cool font).
Remember when Radiohead decided to release a pay-what-you-want album? Well, Lost Type Co-Op is basically the same concept, but with fonts. 100% of the funds go directly to the designers, or you can even type $0 for a free download. Simple as that.
