Moments after this photo was shot, Adam Whooped Brett “The MAD DOG” Banasiewicz’ ass in their first BMX competition. Under the guidance of Derrick Girard, Adam used style, creativity, character, and shear tenacity to beat out the, then 7 year old champion from South Bend Indiana.
Obviously these characteristics will get you nowhere these days, aside form in a stinky van with FBM riders, but thats kinda winning too…

Leland Thurman is a BMX icon, a personality that brightens the spirits of most friendly types, a real Character.
We asked Leland what we could do to the FBM site to liven it up a little bit, and he replied with-
“You should put stuff on it….”
Stuff at FBM might be a new feature on the site…
When you have a warehouse with all kinds of people and bikes, and things to make, sell, and ride bikes, all making there way through it’s doors, you end up with stuff!
