SputnicFeeds By Sputnic
Tuesday News!
Our own Mike Cottle has re-opened a BMX webstore through his family bike shop, Outspoken. Soon, you’ll be able to get all Sputnic frames, parts & softgoods through www.outspokenbmx.com. In related news, Cottle’s favorite dirt mounds outside of Pennsylvania, the Casselberry Trails, now has it’s own website, looking to generate support for their current battle with city officials over the legality of the legendary 71N riding spot. Head over to Save71n.blogspot.com to find out how you can help keep the trails alive.
Finally, Tom Molyneux put together a Lung Butter edit, featuring leftover clips from the now-infamous Banned 3. Click the photo above to watch it.
Satellite Launch: Joey Motta
Sputnic is proud to introduce Joey Motta to the Satellite team! After checking out his Overheated edit a few months back & meeting him at Interbike, Joey seemed like a perfect fit for Sputnic, and we’re psyched to have him on a Space Cobra. Be on the lookout for more updates from Joey soon, but in the meantime, check out his welcome edit above.
Keep Fighting The Good Fight!
If you live in the Northeast, make your way up to Ithaca tomorrow for the “Keep Fighting The Good Fight” Mike Tag benefit jam at East Shore skatepark. Mike Aitken’s bike from Anthem II will be raffled off and lots of good times will surely be had. A few of us from Sparky’s are on our way now, so if you spot us in the crowd, say hello!

Hucke Checks In
Ben sent in this little update:
“Yo everyone, Not a lot going on up here in the NW, a lot of rain that’s about it; I’ve just been spending a lot of time hanging out with Levi. Halloween was fun, dressed up like a werewolf and went to a party with Chet Black and a bunch of the homies. My shoes from Almond the “Belmont” arrived finally and they feel amazing, so so so psyched on these shoes. Other than that I’ve just been waiting for the rain to stop here and there to go film with the guys. Finally got a new lens for my camera and I’m way psyched on my set up now. I went though my computer and found some Souney photos from the last year I’d share. Some were used in Dig and some were just online.”

Cottle checks in
“Yo guys, here are some photos from Kona, and a video of JPR ripping the snake run (“It’s been 2 days and my body is still stuck in a tuck position” -JPR). For the most part it’s been a good summer/fall, been doing lots of short trips trying to ride a lot. I recently made the much needed move from 1/8″ drive train to 3/32″ one, which make the bike run so much smoother. The new Shadow chain with a custom Budsaw and a Sputnic driver thanks to the guys at Zodiaceng. Everyone by now knows about our good buddies Rickey and Gary; I just personally want to say thanks to the BMX world your positive thoughts and prayers. It means the world to his close friends and family. Banned in peace. Oh also Case issue 7 is out and is available to ship now. Rickey and Gary have a photo and a small write up in this issue, written by Billy R from Banned/Sparky’s. You can pick a copy up on my blog, here is a direct link: www.wastedyouth97.com. Well I’m out, ’til next time kids: pick up a shovel & go build something sweet.”
