Vans OTW Collection Feathers Pack for Spring 2013
The feather carries a symbolic meaning across many different cultures. For some, it stands as a symbol of good fortune – in Native American culture, the feather is a symbol of honor and strength. This spring, the Vans OTW Collection channels these sentiments into a capsule of apparel and footwear for the Feathers pack. Custom feather embroidery adorns three silhouettes; the Lasdun, Ludlow and Howell exhibit the pattern on each set of canvas quarter panels. Tonal pig suede detailing, waxed laces, metal eyelet and laser-etched tongue branding completes the selection of sneakers. Additional usage of the custom embroidered motif can be seen throughout the Myers short and Eldridge 5-Panel. The Flock tee rounds off the apparel assortment with screen printed feather graphics pressed against the lightweight cotton top.
The Feathers pack ships this March to select retailers as the final spring offering from the Vans OTW Collection.

Vans welcomes Daniel Sandoval to the pro team with a wild edit he cooked up with Justin Kosman. You already know Daniel’s got a deep bag of tricks, so watch as he lets them loose at a few skateparks and some dirt jumps. Theres a ton of combos and variations in here, but those last couple of clips are pretty crazy.
Get to work bitches.
Vans Workwear Pack for Spring 2013
Vans presents Americana-inspirations across a collection of apparel and footwear for this spring’s Workwear pack. Durable materials meet vintage workwear styling for two takes on the Langard jacket and Chukka Boot. Available in dirt and charcoal, the lightweight Langard is Vans’ approach to the buttoned-up utility jacket featuring several pocket compartments, corduroy collar detailing and adjustable cuffs. The Chukka Boot sports an aesthetic influenced by the traditional work boot bringing heavy duty canvas uppers and reinforced metal eyelets to the classic mid-top for olive night and spice colorways. The Workwear pack is available now at select Vans retailers.

After watching The Kitchen best trick and this edit, I’m kinda od’d on wild skatepark tricks, but Pedro Brás seems like a good kid and definitely deserves some shine time for this edit welcoming him to the Portugese Vans team. Also, songjack.
Van Doren Series Classics for Spring 2013
The spring season rolls out the next installment of the Van Doren Series from Vans Classics. Vans revives long-gone prints on two styles of the Era and three makes of the Authentic. The Era presents a funky two-tone treatment which is inspired by custom sneakers from Vans’ early days when customers could create their own color-ups in-store. Designers recreated two pairs of vintage custom Eras with the Checker/Green Flash and Hawaiian/Red colorways. The Authentic reintroduces a trio of prints last seen in the early ‘90s for its Leopard/Black, Parrot/Light Blue and Retro Flag offerings. Each piece of footwear is finished off with an enzyme wash treatment and the original Van Doren heeltab branding. The Van Doren Series Authentics and Eras are available now at select Vans retailers.

Vans and Marvel Entertainment, LLC are excited to announce a footwear collection featuring the most iconic Super Heroes of all time. The collection will launch with Iron Man and Spider-Man, each individually depicted on Vans Classic silhouettes for adults, kids and toddlers with a second delivery in March featuring the most powerful Super Hero team in the world, The Avengers.
Spider-Man and Iron Man will debut for the first time on the Vans Era and Sk8-Hi Reissue shoes. Taking on the signature colors of his red and blue suit, the Spider-Man Sk8-Hi Reissue features an embossed spider web on premium red suede while the Iron Man version includes black leather on the vamp and bolted hexagon eyelets, staying true to Iron Man’s flashy armor. Each Era includes a comic strip from their crime-fighting heroes on the back and quarter panels with bold accents on the front panels including a striking white web on black canvas and bright red suede.
Those who cannot get enough with the initial Marvel releases will only have to wait a month to get the power of The Avengers at their feet. The Avengers release includes a Sk8-Hi Reissue and Era for adults and kids, and a Slip-On for tiny tykes featuring the beloved all-star team. The Sk8-Hi Reissue highlights Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk and Thor on each side panel while the Era and Slip-On feature a group collage on the front and back panels.
The collection is now available at Select Vans retailers.
Super trip number 2 for the day is Ryan Guettler’s ‘Tabes For The Babes’ tour. While there may not be any babes in this video, there is some ridiculous riding. Guettler loaded up a tour bus full of heavy hitters and took to the road in California. The crew starts out at Woodward West and things only get crazier from there. The day I double backflip as fast as Ryan does will be the day pigs fly. (I’ll most likely never backflip, ever.) They also evened out the park to street rider ratio by bringing along Cody Levesque and Eric L who snag some banging clips at UC Berkley along with the rest of the dudes. Check out how much fun Guettler and crew had in the first episode.
