First “Natural Terrain” Double Backflip?

This is two weeks old but I just came across it today. It’s been branded as the “world’s first natural terrain backflip” so before I hit play, I was expecting to see an MTB dude out and about, trying to find the perfect rock or hill to huck a double flip off of. I thought that premise was pretty rad. After hitting play and seeing a huge man made lip I was a little bummed. I mean, shit. Obviously any double backflip is amazing, this is no fault of the rider so don’t think I’m talking down on him or his accomplishment at all. Props to him for getting up after that fall and pulling it. It’s just a little disrespectful to dudes like Stephen Murray, Cory Nastazio, Hucker, or any other BMX rider who has pulled double flips on dirt years ago, to make it sound like this is unprecedented. Hucker pulled one mid-set at the 2007 Red Bull Elevation event. That one seemed just as natural in terms of terrain, the jumps were built on a mountain (albeit with a landing). Maybe I’m just splitting hairs but I don’t like seeing other types of bikes getting recognition for things that BMX bikes did first. What do you think?

Here’s a quick edit of Sar Levi from Tel Aviv, Israel, who is hooked up through Night Rider shop. A nice bonus in there is a dope clip of the man Itamar Bavli, aka Jesus.
U.K. Edit!
We spent the last week in the U.K. dodging the rain and riding as much as we can. This is leftover stuff from the trip that we aren’t saving…for…a full length we are currently working on! Get stoked! More info to come in the next few months.

Millsy Ad…..
We’ve come up with something pretty cool for our new Ad Campaign, a series of photos with all of the team riders with edits explaining the story behind the photo, giving you a feel for what goes into shooting a photo and seeing how our riders get it done. Anyone with the printed Ad will be able to snap the QR code and take them through to the video straight away but for all you guys click through on the image above to see the video, look out for more in future!

Steven took to the streets on his Renegade frame for this latest Animal edit……
Steven Hamilton Street Edit
This is a departure from Steven’s previous web edits, in a good way, with a full 4+ minutes of street clips. Standout moves include the gap to unwaxed pedal grind 180 on the downledge, a bunch of weird bottom bracket/pedal grinds down some rail ledge setups, and a fufanu on a rooftop with presumably a huge death drop on the other side. So good. Spotted on Animal.
Toldi Edit…..
Our man in Poland, Toldi, recently built up a new ride and filmed this chill edit down his local park for you all to enjoy!
